Semesco Co Ltd is engaged in the field of pollution control and combating since its foundation in 1991. The extensive experience, skills, and knowledge gained by our senior engineers, guarantee that the pollution prevention and combating will safeguard the environment both on offshore and onshore applications. The loyalty of our senior engineers has been evident and commended in various occasions. The driving force for the pollution activities is our director Mr Costas Eroas who had served as a Regional Pollution Officer at the SBA areas 1976 to 1992, where he has been awarded with the British Forces Commendation and British Empire Metal for his exceptional contribution and achievements for safeguarding the environment, the Sovereign Base Areas and the waters of the Cyprus Republic.
The company is equipped with a pollution vessel, which has a loading capacity of approximately 100 tons and pollution combating and absorbents equipment. It can respond within hours to oil pollution incidents.
We are also equipped with full personal protection and breathing apparatus to deal with chemicals handling and to respond in emergency remediation.
